about

Our mom's brother, William Seeley, better known as Uncle Bill to us, passed away on Jan. 1, 2018, after a brief illness. Uncle Bill was a teacher, a debater, a fighter for justice, and a great supporter of the arts. Bill experienced music and dancing with unbelievable gusto and incredible appreciation. It meant so much to sing for him one last time during his service, with "Hallelujah" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

The photo with this album is from 2015, when Uncle Bill and Aunt Jane visited me (Kat) in Los Angeles. He requested we meet "anyplace where we can find live jazz." Los Angeles delivered, and we spent the night dancing, with love and energy, but not necessarily grace and skill. :)

Uncle Bill, you are so missed.
